The experience with Discount Roof was PHENOMENALLY GREAT! It started with the quote by Jeff. He actually do it before he left our house. We didn’t have to wait days. He didn’t have to go up on the roof because they use satellite imagery to calculate the square foot of the roof. They came and worked hard. Each person had a specific set of tasks which they did. In two hours all the old roofing was gone. Super nice quality work.
The crew from Discount Roofing did a fantastic job on rebuilding the old pergola and installing the roof over my deck. Very pleased with the quality of materials and full installation. When my garage shingles ‘age out’ I will have these fine folks back out here. Oh, within a week and a half after completion, a robin family moved in and built a nest in the corner of the roof framing. They felt safe, so we can feel safe. Great job to the whole crew from Discount Roofing!!
Not happy with them. Been waiting for the owner to “get back to me after some research”. This Monday will be 2 weeks I have been waiting. They did the SmartSeal on my roof, the crew was very nice. I’ll give them that. But I should have backed out with the first red flag. The guys who did my quote told me “life time warranty” which is what made me go with them at first. Then the day of signing the paperwork he says “I was wrong I can possibly get you a ten year”. Well my roofs leaking and hopefully I won’t be here in ten years so that’s fine. I’ll take it. Then I was told I would be put on the schedule within 2 weeks. For four weeks John told me it HAD to be 2 days of clear weather to do the job. Ok. Said he would call me never did. I had to keep calling to get anyone to call me back when they said they would. August, and John both said they would call me. Didn’t, made me call them. When they finally had time to get my roof done, it took them 5 hours to “complete” their 2 day job. That was a shocker to me obviously, because for four weeks I was told it HAD TO BE A TWO DAY JOB. Crew said they were done, all done. I was surprised but said ok. I agreed to half down and finance the rest. They took the remaining 3500$ before the office closed that day. Which is not what I agreed to. The owner said (when I brought it up to him) “no problem I’ll have the office call you and set it up” they never did. When I finally got home for the day and turned all the lights on. My ceiling is caving in. When I called and left a message letting them know there was damage. I received a call back from one guy who said “must’ve been their weight” and another said “we wouldn’t know the weight capacity of your roof”. I told him that one: your crew was put in danger because there isn’t enough education on the jobs you’re taking on (I live in a trailer), and two: one of your guys was aware that it was a risk. I pulled up my cameras and one of the crew members said before ever getting on the roof “damn this if a bad roof, X is probably to big to get on it”. Then they all proceeded to get on the roof. Walking on every inch of it, no effort to distribute their weight. The owner of the company came to look at the damage the Monday after it was done. Took pictures and said he would get back to me after some research because my ceiling panels aren’t likely available. That was two weeks ago. Absolutely do not recommend. They spoke to me as if I’m a complete moron as well. Obviously I need to contact an attorney. Sad, I waited in hopes they would just make it right. But I’m done waiting now. In response to Mr. Judy’s response, I was authorized to use said card. The company was not authorized to charge the second half. The charges were put on my mother’s credit card, because I didn’t have thousands in the bank. I did not illegally use my mothers card, they took the second half although I had clarified with the person I did final paperwork with that I was financing the second half. Therefore, they did an unauthorized charge to my mothers card. But because of my review all communication has stopped according to Mr. Judy’s email I received this morning.
